Hope is the thing with feathers…

To everyone who stopped by over the past year.

Here’s to 2016.

Found this whilst wandering around Southsea, stuck onto the entrance to South Parade Pier, currently boarded up and in need of TLC and repair…

Then I thought of this…

“Hope is the thing with feathers –
That perches in the soul –
And sings the tune without the words –
And never stops – at all –

And sweetest – in the Gale – is heard –
And sore must be the storm –
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm –

I’ve heard it in the chillest land –
And on the strangest Sea –
Yet – never – in Extremity,
It asked a crumb – of me”

Wonderful poem Johnny! The picture gave me all sorts of weird memories of Southsea, vehicle I was in crashed on a hill and then remember I woke up in a shooting gallery having been woken in the park by the police hitting me on the feet with a truncheon! Here’s wishing you all the very best for the coming year. A pleasure always to stop by and thanks for reciprocating!
