In de Stijl of the night…?

Total abstraction using the most basic design components of vertical and horizontal lines and primary colours. Precision and universal harmonies. The central tenets of the De Stijl movement. Led by Dutch artists Piet Mondrian and Theo van Doesburg, De Stijl rejected pre-first world war decorative tendencies with an aesthetic which aimed to remove the individualism of the artist in favour of precision and universal harmonies., whilst laying the groundwork for a future utopia…

Came across this piece of architecture from the 1960s  whilst walking around the centre of Coventry the other day. Not quite utopia, but otherwise fits the bill….
