.Skeleton Tree and other landscapes. Butser Hill on a wet and windy Sunday morning with photos and words inspired once again by Ted Hughes and Fay Godwin.
Skeleton tree surveys the horizon beneath darkening skies
Watches clouds roll in
Skeleton tree shivers as light begins to warm its naked frame
Feels the sap rising
Skeleton tree measures time on earth from within
Counts the hidden rings
Skeleton tree waits for springtime’s new adornments
Transforms once more with new growth
And the cycle continues…“
