Seize the infinite blue…

Everywhere the sky. As above, so below, reflected in the small pools of sea water left by the tide as it retreats from the strand line.

The eastern side of Portsea Island, particularly towards Milton Locks, is somewhere that I never tire of. Always the same, yet always different, the coastal defences might suggest permanence, but the rock strewn shore line, slowly shifting mud and sand, and partially rotted wooden structures suggest otherwise…

Although the choice of how these photographs are composed and cropped is entirely mine, stripping away all of the colours other than blue appears to emphasise how much is ‘out there’ which remains unknown…

Lets not lose sight of the fact that the recent lockdown has given the environment an opportunity to breathe…

Great shots as ever Johnny! Like a fool I thought the links below included a reference to the Dennis Potter favourite ‘Blue Remembered Hills’ – Helen Mirren, Janine Duvitski, Collin Welland and Michael Elphick as I recall amongst the cast of a personal favourite and quite forgetting its source ha ha ha ha DOH! Still I add it to your list! I watched the Derek Jarman too and found it enthralling! Your blues are special too!
